This is a 60-hour learning package designed to prepare students for the CompTIA Linux+ certification in preparation for securing employment as a Linux Administrator.

During Part I students will cover topics such as: GNU/UNIX commands, Linux installation, package management, devices, file systems/systems hierarchy, and more.

All learning activities are delivered online, with self-paced learning activities and practical exercises to build your knowledge and skills.

During Part II  students will again join expert Michael Solomon as they learn about Linux +. This course will cover topics such as: scripting, shells, data management, administrative tasks, desktops, user interface, networking fundamentals, essential system services, security, and more.

CompTIA Linux+ validates the skills of IT professionals with hands-on experience configuring, monitoring, and supporting servers running the Linux operating system.

The new XKO-004 exam launched in April 2019 has an increased focus on the following topics: security, kernel modules, storage & visualization, device management at an enterprise level, git & automation, networking & firewalls, server side & command line, server (vs. client-based) coverage, troubleshooting and SELinux.
