Web Developer Diploma

This programme is designed for individuals looking to secure their first job in web design.

Objectives
Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the most in-demand web development skills, techniques and tools to create dynamic websites.

This programme covers the primary web development programming languages: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.  Students gain hands-on expeirence with a range of web development projects that build in complexity as students add coding languages and technology skills to their toolkit. 

Typical career destinations for gradutes include web developer, front-end web developer, HTML developer and JavaScript/iQuery developer.

Core Modules
All students complete seven core knowledge units which provide the underpinning knowledge for the programme:

• Computer and Technology Basics

• Overview of Software Development

• Version Control

• HTML

• CSS and Bootstrap

• JavaScript

• Managing Software Development Projects

Delivery
This programme is taught through individual self-paced study supported by coaching sessions from our digital skills team.

Students may choose from our Independent, Campus or Professional support packages to reflect their preferred learning style.

Assessment is by exam at the end of each module and the production of a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates occupational competence against each of the learning objectives within this programme.
